Benefits of Dermal Filler Treatments
What Causes The Tell-Tale Signs Of Ageing?
As we age, the skin loses both its structural strength and visible volume. The facial aging process involves a combination of changes in the skin, muscles, bones, and fat, leading to a gradual shift in facial features. These changes include loss of firmness, wrinkles, drooping skin, and a change in the overall shape of the face.
Genetics, diet and lifestyle factors (alcohol, stress, smoking) can also impact the speed in which this process occurs. Along with environmental factors such as free radicals and sun exposure which causes the skin to lose elasticity, and this results in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Dermal Filler Treatment
The actual procedure for dermal fillers is relatively quick, usually taking about 30 to 60 minutes.
On the day of the procedure, the treatment area will be cleaned, and a topical anesthetic may be applied to minimise discomfort. The practitioner will then use a fine needle or cannula to carefully inject the filler into the targeted areas. You may feel slight pressure or a pinch during the injections, but the discomfort is generally minimal.
After the injections, the practitioner will gently massage the treated areas to ensure even distribution of the filler and smooth results. There may be some mild swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection sites, but these side effects should subside within a few days.

A consultation will be carried out prior to having the treatment done to check your suitability, and to better understand your skin concerns. This will allow them to provide a bespoke treatment plan for you. Post treatment, a complimentary aesthetic review is provided to monitor and assess your results after two weeks. During this appointment any required top-ups can also be administered.
